PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Cemented Carbides with Both Wear and Chipping Resistance
RF Series
- Corrosion
Resistance - Wear
Resistance - Chipping
Resistance
RF Series adopts ultrafine grained WC and has achieved particurally excellent wear resistance. This series, also has both corrosion and chipping resistance, is particularly suitable for applications which require wear resistance or blades which require sharp edges.

Characteristics
-
- Hardness and Fracture Toughness of RF・Series
- RF Series offers improved high hardness and fracture toughness in comparison with conventional ultrafine grained Cemented Carbide (WC-Co).
-
- RF20 Microstructure
Chipping Resistance Evaluation
-
- Chipping of conventional ultrafine grained Cemented Carbide (WC-Co)
- Chipping of RF20
As a result of chipping test by adding overstress on the edge part, RF20 offers improved chipping resistance comparing to that of conventional ultrafine grained Cemented Carbide (WC-Co).
