PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Low Friction Cemented Carbides with Excellent Balance of Characteristics
PRD Series
- Corrosion
Resistance - Wear
Resistance - Seizure
Resistance
PRD Series exhibits excellent balance of strength, wear resistance and toughness by adopting medium grained WC. Furthermore, it also excels in seizure resistance by adding low-friction to RD Series while retaining the original characteristics. It is used in a wide range of applications, from various wear-resistant tools to blades and machine parts.

Characteristics
Coefficient of Friction Comparison Result between PRD Series and RD25
-
- Coefficient of Friction for Copper Alloy
- The coefficient of friction of PRD9N is lower than that of RD25.
-
- Coefficient of Friction for Aluminum Alloy
- The coefficient of friction value of PRD9N is almost the same as RD25 in initial state, but PRD9N has lower frictional coefficient after a steady state.
-
- Coefficient of Friction for SUS304
- The coefficient of friction of PRD9N is lower than that of RD25.
-
- PRD14N Microstructure
